On the morning of June 25th, the Sunshine Coast RCMP responded to several police files that may all be related.
There was a break in to a storage sea can that was on the construction site at Teredo Street and Shorncliffe Avenue, a recovered stolen 26' cabin cruiser at Snickett park and a lone kayak found tied to the concrete platform at the conveyer belt dock at the south end of Chelpi Avenue. The 26' boat had been stolen from the Selma Park boat launch at around 6:30 am. Police have received reports of a group of 3 people in each of those areas and last seen in the area of Snickett Park.
If anyone who has not already spoken with police witnessed suspicious activity this morning between 5:00 and 7:00 am, and possibly has dash cam or home surveillance cameras that may have captured these suspects, please contact the RCMP at 604-885-2266.
