Police seeking information following suspicious occurrence

Richmond RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the driver of a vehicle involved in a suspicious interaction Tuesday morning.

On May 14, 2024, Richmond RCMP received a report that a man in a vehicle approached a female youth who was walking in the 9400-block of Glenallan Drive at approximately 8:00 a.m. The driver tried to verbally engage with the youth and offered her a ride.

The driver is described as a South Asian male in his mid 30’s with a trimmed beard, and buzz cut hair. The vehicle was last seen travelling eastbound on Bakerview Drive and is described as a silver 2-door coupe (see attached photo).

Anyone who was in the area and has dash camera footage or information is asked to contact Richmond RCMP 604-278-1212 and quote file number 2024-15008.
