Background:
On April 6, 2022, at around 1:30 a.m., the Surrey RCMP responded to shots fired at a home at 24 Avenue and 152A Street. On arrival, first responders found 33-year-old David Goldstein with critical injuries. Mr. Goldstein was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) was called in to investigate.
Update:
Following a lengthy and extensive investigation, IHIT investigators provided disclosure to Crown Counsel and on November 7, 2023, the BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) laid 1st degree murder charges against Bryce Dallas Campbell for the homicide of David Goldstein.
Bryce Campbell is currently in custody for two counts of 2nd degree murder and 1 count of attempted murder in relation to a shooting that occurred in South Surrey in July 2022.
IHIT wishes to recognize the assistance of its partners at the Surrey RCMP, the Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS) and its own team of dedicated investigators and detectives.
As both matters are before the Courts, no further information can be released.
