Police looking for suspect information

Sunshine Coast RCMP are looking for witnesses to a stabbing that occurred in the area of the 5600 Block of Hightide Avenue in Sechelt at approximately 1:30 am on Friday, July 7th, 2023.

The suspect is a Caucasian male in his 20s, 6' tall, thin/slim build, goatee or long stubble, wearing a black mid thigh length black coat, baseball hat and running shoes.  The suspect stabbed a female who is recovering in hospital.

Anyone with information, or residents in the area with security cameras that may have captured the suspect fleeing the area are encouraged to call Sunshine Coast RCMP, 604-882-2266. Police file number is 2023-4645.
