North Vancouver RCMP are updating the public in the investigation of a sexual assault on a Lynn Valley trail that occurred on February 13th, 2022. Following a March 12th, 2022 press release, a tip from a member of the public led to the arrest of Jairus-Paul Covacha Sacramento in Abbotsford, BC.
On June 9th, 2023, Sacramento, a resident of Mission BC, was found guilty on one count of Sexual Assault following a North Vancouver Provincial Court trial. He will be sentenced at a later date.
This was a traumatizing incident for the victim, and impacted the community’s sense of safety
